I have missed playing the game and I’m looking forward to starting it again when I get back from this years trip to Thailand.

I’ve been wanting to write this post since I got back home Oct. 31st, but I’ve been having problems getting adjusted to the time difference and have been sleeping most of the days away. I’ve been noticing a lot of “negative” thoughts creeping back in. I think it’s time to start writing again and getting back up to speed with the game and finishing the article I started on Squidoo with hints and tips for Chiang Mai, Thailand.

This post is about my experience with money in Thailand. I had less than $200 US dollars to take with me and yet when I converted $70 to Bahts…I felt super rich!!! I had a wad of bills in my hand and I truly felt invincible! For the first time in my life I really “felt” like I could have, or do, anything I wanted and I could feel energy surging through my body. [On Oct. 18th, $70 USD was worth 2,304.80 Thai Bahts.]

I really like(d) Thai Bahts…The bills are colorful and “cheerful”, they are also different lengths. The smallest “bill” is 20; One’s, Five’s and Ten’s are coins (I wish I would have taken a picture of them, I only thought about the bills at the time). One liter of water, at 7 eleven, could be bought for 14 baht (approx. 42 cents, USD). As long as I had something to compare “worth” (Baht <—> Dollars) I was able to stay in that abundant state. However, if I lived there, and had nothing to compare the money in my pocket to, 14 Baht is a lot of money…imagine going into 7 eleven and paying $14 USD for a liter of water…now you don’t feel so abundant anymore.

So I got to experience first hand how money really is just a game, and we get to decide how we feel about it. I also discovered that by changing the name of money, you can feel a whole new “vibe” and have a totally different experience.

I had such a good time feeling abundant the whole trip, until…the layover at Bangkok International Airport. I had 235.83 Bahts left and was still feeling abundant. When I went to convert back to USD…I got a “lousy” $7 and all my old feelings about money came flooding back to me as I felt “poor”. What I’m wishing I would have done was to have exchanged the (2) 100 Bahts into 20’s and just passed them out to 8 people…that would have felt good and I would have stayed in that abundant state of mind.

So now it’s time to get back into the game and work little by little on those thoughts about money again. I’m so glad that I have a new frame of reference, that I experienced first hand, as I will be remembering those feelings and focusing on feeling better/relief.

Thanks to asIprosper’s 2 posts (Day 149 and 152) I totally/consciously realized that I too suffered from the same block(s) regarding our monetary system. It’s kind of funny how we allow others to sway us in any given direction regarding money and the economy amongst other things. Since this blog is about Prosperity, those are the only two that I will mention. I’m not going to go into the details of the Federal Reserve and all the people who are trying to make/keep us poor. We all play our roles, consciously or unconsciously, but it is our choice of thought(s) that keep us where we are, or allow us to move forward to bigger and better things.

In January of this year I took on the name Joy-Seeker, that is what I am more identifying with…except for the area of money. Without realizing it, I haven’t really tried to break through whatever blocks/beliefs I have about money, until now after reading those 2 posts. This morning I had a great big, hugely big a-ha moment. It is time to lay to rest those beliefs that don’t serve me, not by wrestling them to the ground, or by beating myself up because I accepted them…I will start my giving my attention to my new belief(s) about money:

• money, in whatever form, is nothing more than energy
• Source energy flows through all things, including paper and ink
• those who design money are letting Source flow through them, in the form of inspiration
• the creating of money gives jobs to people – from the printers to the bank tellers and everyone in between

I think I’m going to go and really look at and enjoy the details of some $5 and $10 bills I have right now, appreciate their beauty (I do love how our currency has some more color added to it now) and appreciate the artists who came up with the designs. And most importantly, I’m going to appreciate the Source energy flowing through those slips of paper.

Whew…that feels so much better.

I won’t be getting back home until Halloween night. Hopefully I’ll be awake enough on Nov. 1 to get back to having more fun with this Prosperity Game. Until then, “Be good humans”

5 days till I leave for Thailand (in real life) and in the game, at least for today, I’m planning a trip to Bali with my parents…in style.

Since it will be such a long flight, we have to fly first class. I could easily blow all of today’s money on just the flight alone for 4, so I picked a moderate price from American Airlines that is $12,504 per person. For my mom, 2 dads and myself the total is $50,016. $78,984 left to spend.

I found this wonderful place to stay called Damai Lovina Villas. I decide on the 3 bedroom pool villa. It includes: 2 butler serviced villa, living room with dining area, 3 bathrooms, veranda, balcony, pavillion, 2 private swimming pools, surrounded by lush gardens with sea view. 12 nights will cost $11,160.  $67,824 left to spend This is sooooo much fun!!!

Since this place is more like a retreat, actually it’s a boutique resort, offering spa services and healthy, organic food, we will all be partaking of the many services to relax and rejuvenate our bodies.The restaurant serves organic vegetables and meats from their own farm, together with fresh catch from the bountiful Bali sea and selected imported delicacies. I couldn’t find any prices for the restaurant or the spa services, so I’ll set aside $20,000 (4 x $5,000)

Separate of the resort there is the Lovina Dolphin Watching Tour. Seeing Bali from the air – there are 9 choices of flights and they charge per flight, not per person…Total for all 9 is $19,190; good thing we’ll be there for 12 days!! I’m having lots of fun on this site seeing all the different things that are available to do in Bali.

I’ll set aside the remaining $28,634 for once we get there and see what other adventures we’d like to take/do.

Gizmag.com had a really interesting post on their site today about the West Philadelphia High School Academy for Automotive and Mechanical Engineering. These high school students have entered two cars in the the Progressive Insurance Automotive X PRIZE. The first uses the chassis of a Ford Focus and uses both gasoline and biobutanol.

  The second car is the Factory Five GT based EVX GT sports car and it is a two-seat biodiesel hybrid sports car that can go from 0-60 in less than 5 seconds.

“Both units incorporate an Azure Dynamics electric motor and 10.2kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate battery pack, with the EVX GT featuring a VW TDI 1.9l engine. The TDI will have a particulate matter trap that the team says will meet and exceed the emissions requirements of less than 200 grams of CO2 per mile.”

What is interesting about this competition, is that these inner city high school students are competing against University students to Silicon Valley Think tanks to other teams from around the world. Not only that, but they have competed in the National Tour de Sol and won in 2002, 2005 and 2006.

I think it is wonderful that a high school offers such a unique automotive class, they are also in search of donations to help the team. I would like to give today’s $128,000 to the West Philly Hybrid X team.

This morning was such a magical time for me. On my way back from walking the 2 little dogs at the park, I got to watch 2 hummingbirds bathing in the water fountain in the front yard of the neighbor behind me, when a 3rd hummingbird wanted to join them, the first one kept trying to chase it away. Then, when walking one of the big dogs around the park, a hummingbird flew past us and sat on a branch of a tree close by and it let me stand right in front of it and listen to it “sing”; I also enjoyed as it would lift its head and show its ruby-red throat to me. I glanced to the left in a big tree and there were 3 more hummingbirds flying around it, one left that group and came towards the one sitting on the branch…then they both flew away.

When I was finally settling in to read my e-mail there was my daily Gimundo Good News waiting for me to read. Today’s story got me, especially since my youngest niece is being treated for leukemia….but I’m getting a little ahead of myself. The “news” was about a young 7-year-old boy who has  been battling brain cancer for 2 years now. Here’s what I loved about the story…his mother made up a story for her son where he’s a hero who battles an evil enemy that he calls a megazoid. The even cooler part of the story is that the manager of a Baltimore restaurant that Dominic’s family often went to, put $9,000 into the creation of a comic book based on Dominic’s alter ego…the Dominator. The comic book is intended for children with illnesses that require hospitalization, and is intended to help them feel better about the often frightening experience. So far, they have sold 1,000 copies of the  (original 2,000) comic book for $5.

The story touched me deeply and inspired today’s purchase. There is talk about sequels to the comic book, so here’s what I would like to do…$100,000 goes to producing more copies of the original comic book and then freely passing them out to hospitals with terminally ill children. The remaining $27,000 will be towards the creation of the sequel comic book.

Today is one of those days where I’m completely clueless about what I am wanting. There’s a really cool Grand 51 Turbine Mustang in excellent shape for $700,000 (would have to do over several days)…I came across an interesting Stardust Multimedia Table with Dual-touch screens ($15,000)…then found links to some interesting sites to bookmark and check out later, but one of them did pique my interest. A rare $50 coin was recovered from an historic U.S. shipwreck, the SS Central America, that had sunk off the Carolina’s during a hurricane in 1857. Apparently there was a “King’s ransom of gold” aboard that ship and “according to record, this is the “one and only” $50 Wass Molitor piece recovered, which gives this coin a special place in the hallowed annals of true collectible rarities.”

The coin is being offered by Albanese Rare Coins, Inc. for $135,000…$9,000 over today’s amount. Luckily I have some money in my Prosperity Game Savings Account which will go towards purchasing this unique coin.

On day 30 of the Prosperity Game, asIprosper wrote about wanting to create an online version of this game. I was totally jazzed about the idea and put my $10,000 for the day to his vision. Since then we have both added more money to the concept, but it has been a long time. Yesterday, he added $145,000 for the licensing fee to Abraham-Hicks.

Today I will be adding $100,000 to that vision and lots of imagination.

He also had another interesting project the other day about an open source screenplay web app. I’m not into writing screenplay’s, but the idea was very interesting. So I’d like to put the additional $25,000 towards that vision.

Yesterday, while doing a mundane task , I started thinking about kids in the hospital again…especially those that are the only one in the room, only getting to see their parents/siblings, maybe even feeling bummed because they are missing their friends. I had a “what if” moment followed by thoughts of netbooks and a dedicated server in each hospital.

• What if…every bed in each child’s room had a netbook?
• What if…they had webcams and microphones and could “chat” with their friends, or make new friends with other kids in the hospital?
• What if…they could play computer games against other kids in the hospital?
• What if…there were websites where they could safely view photos from around the world or the universe
• keep up to date with the local scores from the sports they played – I’m not talking major league sports, I’m talking about the local level youth soccer, or little league, or whatever sport/team that they played on
• learn/play whatever they were interested in learning

I could go on and on. It did/does get me thinking how much faster they might heal up if their minds were focused on something other than “being sick and stuck in the hospital” and watching the mindless “boob tube”.

I’d like today’s $124,000 to go towards netbooks and a dedicated server for one hospital to start. I would love to see it blossom into other hospitals joining in.

The $23,000 left over would be for a big Halloween party at the hospital, or for “treats” that the kids would get…I’m not talking candy. When my 7-year-old niece was visiting her sister in the hospital, she was thrilled when one of the ladies gave her a box that had gloves and band-aids, a mask and other assorted goodies. So it struck me that those would be the kinds of things that could be given away as treats. The kids could then take turns taking pictures of each other for their poster board project.

It will be so much fun watching those kids light up and have a good time even though they are in the hospital.
